Bulawayo, Zimbabwe — South African side Sporting Diepsloot Queens were crowned champions of the women’s tournament at the 2026 Bulawayo Sports Fiesta Day of Finals, delivering a commanding performance to lift the trophy in what organizers described as a milestone edition of the city’s premier annual sporting showcase.
The Johannesburg-based outfit proved dominant throughout the decisive round of fixtures, defeating Future Legends 3–1 before sealing the championship with a convincing 4–0 victory over Gwelo Rangers Royals in the final match of the day.


A Dominant Championship Run
Sporting Diepsloot entered the finals with confidence and quickly asserted their quality against a determined Future Legends side. With disciplined defending and clinical finishing, the South African visitors secured a 3–1 victory to book their place in the championship decider.
Future Legends had earlier advanced to the final stages after a dramatic semi-final clash against Western Rangers, edging the match on penalties after the teams had battled fiercely through regulation time.
In the other semi-final, Gwelo Rangers Royals produced one of the tournament’s most exciting matches, defeating Queen Lozikeyi Academy 3–2 in a high-intensity encounter that showcased the rising competitiveness of women’s football in the region.
