The Nigerian Women’s Team the Super Falcons have progressed to the round of 16 after a nil all draw against Ireland. 

Nigeria finish second in their group behind Australia after 2 draws and 1 win. A week back the Super Falcons stunned the Matildas in a thrilling 3 goals to 2 win. 

The Super Falcons are looking strong enough to surpass their 1999 Quarter Final performance. Together with South Africa they remain contenders in the world cup.
