Queen Lozikeyi Academy captain Sisa Ndebele is set to join the Highlanders Football Club Royals one a one year loan. The Highlanders Football Club Royals were recently promoted into the apex of the women’s soccer league the Zimbabwe Women’s Super League after finishing top of the ZIFA Southern Region Women’s soccer league.
Sisa Ndebele has been to date Queen Lozikeyi Academy’s most priced athlete as she is the one who was part of the first ever team at only age 10. Sisa has since then remained an integral part of the team and even captained Queen Lozikeyi Academy into their first championship in the Bulawayo Province Division 2 League in the year 2022. In the year 2023 Sisa was also the captain of Queen Lozikeyi Academy in their brief stint in the Zimbabwe Women’s Super League. She is amongst other senior players that endured a long season of struggle and defeat. This experience is expected to be valuable for the Royals in their 2024 ZWSPL campaign.
Not only does Sisa have local experience she is also an international asset as she was part of the team that finished as finalists in the 2018 First ever International Human Rights Cup held in Johannesburg and the winning team of the second edition in Cape Town 2019.
Sisa also has international caps gained as she represented Zimbabwe in the under 17 International Competitions.
Confirming their release of Sisa Ndebele Queen Lozikeyi Academy director for legal affairs Mr P Ngwenya reiterated that ”This can only be seen as a positive step as it propels Sisa to the next level in her development and inspires other generations to be groomed under the QLA banner and beyond.
Other youngsters like Chiedza Khumalo are expected to rise up to the occasion and lead Queen Lozikeyi Academy in their ZIFA Division 1 Southern Region campaign in 2024.
