The United States of America will go into the poll to choose the country’s next leader in 2024.  Former President Donald Trump is the favorite candidate for the Republican Party while Joe Biden seems set to regain the Democrats ticket.

Donald Trump only served one term in his Presidency and has been under a lot of legal pressure critics have accused former President Donald Trump of encouraging his supporters to attack the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Donald Trump is not new. to legal battles in the United States. He has accused. his political opponents of unleashing a legal witch hunt with an aim to derail his reelection.  As of today, 5 March 2024 Donald Trump is currently leading the Republican Primary election race with 273 delegates. His closest rival Nikki Haley has 43 delegate votes. Rob Dos Santis once seen as very strong contender to Trump dropped out on January 21 with 9 delegates and Vivek Ramaswamy dropped out on the 15th of January 2024 with 3 delegates. Donald Trump still needs 1,215 to win the nomination.

On the other hand, Joe Biden is leading with 206 delegates and has almost zero opposition from other candidates. Biden needs 1,968 delegate votes to confirm his nomination.  As things stand the stage looks set for another showdown between the two leading candidates unless things drastically change.
